The provision of Nursing Care at the Tor by Tor Christian Nursing Home Ltd in fulfilment of one of our charitable objectives ceased on 11th November 2016. The Charity however continues and the Directors are currently reviewing the operations of the Charity and how it might continue to fulfil its charitable objectives.
The reasons for ceasing to provide care were that our activities were becoming unsustainable, due to rising costs, the difficulties in recruiting staff, the necessary employment of agency staff and the payments which were being received in respect of local authority funded residents.
In addition the facilities provided in Mull, one of our units, were not compliant with modern standards and the costs of modernisation were looking to be prohibitive.
All of the Residents and staff have moved to a new purpose built care home, less than a mile away called Manor Grange.
Enquiries to Manor Grange should be addressed to;
